A sweet birthday and some show and tell
My sweet little Gram turned 82 yesterday, and here she is at lunch with one of Andrea's beautiful paper cakes! She loved it! We have a tradition my Momma, Gram and I. Every time it is our birthday we get together for lunch at our favorite cafe and spend the day antiquing together. I am so thrilled she was up to it again this year. It just means so much! She isn't getting around so good, but other than that she is really doing quite well!
Here's a peek of some of the treasures I tucked inside that fabulous cake! Andrea is closed for maternity leave right now, but her cakes are really gorgeous and make a wonderful gift!
And now for some show and tell. I've actually really been holding out on you. I have received some amazing things in the past couple of months and just have not gotten around to blogging about them!
This stunning crown came from Holly and it is really one of my favorite things! Her crowns are exquisite and the attention to detail on them is amazing! I feel very fortunate to have one of my own!

Beth and I did a little swap a couple of weeks ago and she sent me this gorgeous bracelet. I just love it!! I actually love all of the jewelry she makes! My Mom and I were so inspired by hers we decided to try our hand at making them one weekend.
These are the ones we made. I made the larger one and my Mom made the smaller one. They are not as fabulous as Beth's but they were fun to make anyway!

This adorable cagie is made by the fabulous Heidi. She made this as a special order for me and I just love it so very much! I could not get wonderful photos of it, but it really is fabulous!! Lots and lots of vintage millinery, and glass glitter, and a pink bird, could it get any better than that? Heidi sells these and other fabulous things right here!
I have so much else to show you, but that will have to do for now! I have been slowly working on getting caught up, but have not had a lot of chances to work on moving the studio, and getting the house ready. Hopefully Loren and I can get that accomplished very soon! My daughter's birthday party with friends is tomorrow night and then my sweet little neices birthday is Saturday. I decided to take on making her a doll house, so I um, need to get back to that! (What was I thinking exactly???)
I'll be sure and show you the doll house and more photos soon! Oh, and I did leave the last few Halloween things in the shop for now, and they are on sale too! The rest of the shop is closed for now, and I'll keep you posted on when I plan to fully reopen!

Tell your Grandma I said Happy Birthday. I am so glad she is doing better. Well fixing to move so maybe when thats all over you will have your shop open.
