Frippery, and some happy, happy news!
First, let me give you some wonderful news! My Mom's tests are back and she is fine. IT WAS NOT A STROKE!! I am beyond happy and relieved. They are sending her to a nuerologist just to be on the safe side, but they do not believe she had a stroke. They *think* what happened is that she has an inner ear infection and fluid behind the middle ear which can cause all sorts of problems. (equalibrium being messed up making things look similiar to stroke symptoms) We can live with that. There is an easy fix for it. I'm just so, so relieved. When something scary happens with some one you love, it really makes you think about things. I know the next time Mom says, "why don't you come up and we'll do some crafts", I will certainly not be too busy. You know? Thank you again, to each and every one of you that emailed, commented, prayed, sent well wishes, posted on your own blogs and everything else! You are all appreciated more than we can say. Mom was just as touched by all of the messages as I was! So, thank you my dear friends!
Now, about Frippery. Isn't that a fun word?

fiddle-faddle, frivolity, froth, minutia, nonsense, trifle, triviality Doesn't that just about cover all the fun, fancy, and sometimes odd things we like to use in our art work and crafting projects? This is the main category where you will find ribbons and trims, including velvets, both vintage and new, petite spools of polka dots and twine, and fabulous vintage trims. You'll also find your millinery both old and new, your glitter and glue, and even some rubber stamps. So many fun things in this section, I had a blast looking for things that I love to use in my projects and I bet you will too! Velvets, seam binding, and vintage lace will be sold by the yard now. I've wanted to do it this way all along, but with etsy's .20 a listing fee, and the 3% they take of your sales, it just was not feasable. Another bonus is that I can offer you these items less expensively now too! Polka dot trims and twine are already packaged on darling petite spools! There is a 4th category, that I lovingly termed the Pink Boutique. Unfortunately, I did not get this portion of the site developed as much as I had wanted, but this is where you will find fun organizational and decorative items for your studios, as well as fabulous vintage treasures. I promise you, it will have more fun things to come in that section just as soon as I can. You know how it goes, right? More ideas than time. That's me for sure! Lastly, I wanted to tell you that in homage to that little girl who had a shop of her own selling empty makeup and perfum bottles to all the little neighborhood girls, I found these darling vintage perfume bottle samplers and I filled them with glass glitter. The first 30-something orders will receive these with their order as a little gift of celebration! (all orders will be receiving a little something from me to you too) Ok, so I wish I could say it's all finished, and I'm just relaxing enjoying the good news, but that would be reeeeaaaaly far from the truth. So back to work I go. I'll see you tomorrow, ok? Noon, eastern time. Oh, and one last thing, bear with us tomorrow, I am sure there will be kinks to work out, as no matter how long you plan, or how prepared you are there will always be something, right? :0) xoxo, Cerri | |

Such a blessing to hear that your Mum is going to be OK. I have had inner ear problems for 25 years and I can verify how much that affects your life. But as you said ~ it could be worse. As an RN I certainly agree that a second opinion or seeing a neurologist is always a good idea. Such a relief for your Mum and you and your family. Blessings to you!

So THRILLED to hear about your mom. PRAYER WORKS! I have inner ear trouble. It is awful. My body learned to adjust for the most part, but when I'm overtired, I can feel my equilibrium being a little "off." I don't go on any spinning rides. They make me feel too off kilter to make them worth the couple minutes of fun.

God is so awesome!!! As I read about your Mom I could tell she is an angel. When two or more gather in HIS name HE is amongst them. I will pray for your shop as I can see all the hard work you have been putting in to it heart and soul. Your little pink suitcase kit is so adarable and so are the little glitter bottles. Take care of yourself!!!! Fran.
