I know you're waiting on my next June give away, and honestly, I had some grand plans for this week and last, but the truth of the matter is, right now my daughter is really struggling and I've had to just work on being Mom right now, and my shop owner and blog writer hats have had to be put on hold a little. So, just give me a little while longer, and we'll resume that schedule, ok? I'm not going to forget. For today, let's just talk about pretty things. I haven't shown you any of my new pretties in a little while and I've been accumulating some!
It's funny, when I find new things they go into a pile and wait to be photographed. I don't put things away until I have had a chance to take their photo so that I can show all of you. Sometimes that pile gets rather large before I get to it! Do you do this, or am I the only loon? I adore the sweet crocheted wash cloth above, don't you? The one with the tiny rose and the pink scalloped edge? I love it that some lady wanted all of her things to be lovely, even down to the lowliest wash cloth. I seem to be drawn to fabric a lot these days and I love the fabrics I found here!
But more than anything, I have been drawn to vintage embroidered things, especially things that have been embroidered with a sweet southern belle.
Maybe it's simply because they are so dainty and sweet, or maybe it's because I'm southern, I don't know, but I'm just smitten with them.
I've been buying a lot of them, and if they are doubled, or there are 2 of them, I buy them for sure. This way, I can share them with my Mom.
And I posted all of these today hoping to entice my Mom into coming and having a much needed crafting slumber party. So Mom, I have doulbes of all of these except the first one. :0) Don't you want to come play?
Thanks for being patient with me. I'll be back to our June celebrations very soon. I promise!
xoxo, Cerri

Lovely finds Cerri,
Take care of that daughter, you do have your priorities straight, most of us are Moms first, then artists and crafters....

Beautiful embroideries and a wonderful statement about yourself, caring for others even when you need to let other things go. Family is so important.

I really enjoy vintage linens and have quite a few myself. Right now I still have most packed away because we "down-sized" last fall....that means we bought a smaller house but I didn't get rid of many of my collections!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful finds.

Cerri -
You never have to feel bad about getting your priorities right. Your family, especially children always come first. We understand and if some don't, then that is their problem, not yours.
I love your treasures, so pretty. AND so apparently does Maria Luisa. In case you can't read spanish, she says "it is worth the time taken to see a blog like yours. It is a gift for the eyes."
Take care - Elaine Allen
