Annual Vintage Christmas Stocking Sign Up

Hello! I hope your weekend was lovely! As promised, today is the official day to sign up for my annual stocking swap. 

Please read the details prior to signing up. 

You can sign up the swap until Friday, November 16th, or until we have 20 participants, whichever comes first. 

I will assign partners over the weekend and you will have your partner notification by Monday, November 19th. 

The stocking can be handmade, or an embellished purchased stocking. But please send a regular size stocking, embellished to your heart's desire, and filled with some lovely treats for your partner. The contents are really up to you, but should contain some vintage items for your partner to enjoy. Typically people will send vintage supplies for their partners, and add some extra type of goodies as well. It's lovely if you want to include something special and handmade inside, but not a requirement. (the stocking DOES have to be embellished by hand..) 

All packages must be shipped to your partners no later than Friday, December 7th. --International swappers will need to ship earlier than that. If for any reason you can't not make your shipping deadline, you will need to email me, and your partner and let them know. If you need to drop out of the swap, please let me know asap, so that I can either make an extra stocking or find another partner for your partner. 

Once you have been assigned to your partner, you must email them. I have never made this a rule before, because I just figured that everyone does that...but in the past swaps I have hosted I am always surprised at the number of emails I get saying that they've not heard from their partner. That just makes people nervous about sending out packages. So, please email your partner, introduce yourself if you don't know each other, etc. I have had several ladies tell me that they became close friends with their swap partners, so it really is a great opportunity to get to know someone new. 

That's really all of the "rules" to playing along. If you think you would you can commit to those dates, and the communication required, then please sign up to play along!

In your email, please included the following information: 

*Name and address

*Online addresses: (blog, flickr, pinterest, whatever...)

*Your color preferences. I mean do you decorate in traditional styles of red and green, or are you more of a whites/neutrals kind of gal?  Do you prefer pastel and candy colors, or is Christmas kitsch was makes your heart go pitter patter? 

*If you are wiling to ship internationally. Some folks prefer that, as it gives them exposure to things from other countries and cultures. 

*What type of craft/art supplies to you enjoy playing with? (this is not a shopping list, but just the type of things you enjoy using) 

*Any other information which might be helpful to your partner. Do you love tea, or hot cocoa? Are you a chocolate lover, or would you love a never ending supply of strawberry cream candy canes. Ha. :) (that would be my husband, good thing he isn't playing..)

Ok, I think that is it. Please only sign up if you feel you can follow through on the commitment. Every year I have had people flake, and that's just sad.
