Hello! I was away a bit longer than I had hoped to be. You know, I am always thinking about things that I want to share on my blog, as really I miss blogging regularly, but it just seems that the days go by, and time gets away from me. Hopefully things will slow down this fall and I can pick up a regular blog schedule again. I know there are tutorials I want to share, and a swap or two I would love to host.
I've been thinking about my business a lot this summer and the path I am currently on with it. I think it's time for some changes. This November will mark my 7th year of The Little Pink Studio! Kind of hard to believe, really. But I have been thinking I want to go back to my roots. I want the business to go back to more vintage supplies, more handmade, more kits, ephemera, and hard to find supplies..So with that in mind, I have all sorts of new things I am adding to the shop, and several things I am going to discontinue.
For starters, I will no longer be offering scrapbook papers. It's not that I don't love them, because there are some beautiful papers out there, and I have always tried to pick the ones that fit into the aesthetic of my shop, but I just don't find myself using them very often. I seem to always pull out my vintage papers, fabric, and lace. Always. I want my little shop to represent that. So you will find that ALL current scrapbook items will be marked down drastically. I will be discontinuing a few more things in the weeks to come as well.
With all of that said, let me share with you what is new to the shop!
Love this sweet little notions kit. I've had the "notions in white" kit for quite some time, and it continues to sell regularly, so I thought I would add a pink kit as well. Almost everything you see there is vintage. The sequins, pink paper bobbin, glass vial, and tiny pink pearls are all vintage. The tiny rose cabachons, buttons, and ribbon slides are new, and it's a perfect little blend of vintage and new.
Lots of "new old stock" vintage appliques! I just love all of these sweet little embellishments!
This kit needs a post all of it's own, so I will share more about in on Thursday. But my idea as I was creating this book was a doll house through the ages, and the both the little girls that played with dolls and the dolls themselves.
My plan is to have all of these new items in the shop by Thursday, including the kit.
So, I'll see you tomorrow to share more of the book!
