Have a wonderful weekend!
Hello! Just popping in to share a peek into last month's Little Pink Box. Lots of pretty things went into April's box, and there were THREE project kits! Ha. I usually include one creative project as well as lots of other lovely things, but this month I just couldn't choose so there were 3 projects! The pretty tins above were filled with gorgeous charms, both vintage and new.
Everything was included from the jar, to the pretty paint pots, to the sponge brush. No extra supplies were needed to complete this kit. And yes, I know it may be silly to embellish paint pots with vintage lace and appliques, but seriously, I would prefer if ALL of my paint pots looked this way. ;)
And as always, tutorials for each project was on the private Little Pink Box blog for subscribers. There is still time to treat yourself to the May box, or perhaps a 3 month subscription!
There are lots of beautiful things in store for the upcoming month's boxes! I'm so excited!
In other shop news, I am currently restocking some of the gorgeous vintage laces that sold so quickly, and there a just a couple of the spring inspiration kits left if you would like to treat yourself to one of those!
I have a new book project in the works, and I'm getting quite excited about it. If you love fairies, you might just love this one too! I'll share more on that soon.
Hello! Ever since I posted about the personal craft boxes I made for a friend and her daugther, I have had a few requests to make them for various clients. I thought I would share the most recent box with you. The Mom contacted me wishing for me to create a box for her daughter's Easter basket. The little girl loves to sew, make books, is super crafty, and since her name is Paris, she loves all things French. Oh, and her favorite colors are pink and lavender.
So I was completely thrilled when I found a vintage French fairy tale book that fit that particular color scheme. I used the book's images and feel as inspiration for the entire box. This is the cover of the box. I painted a wooden box a pale pink, added some vintage wallpaper, vintage lace, and these darling images from the book.
Of course, since she loves to sew and make books, I had to include one of my vintage hankie journal kits. The image is not attached, but included in case she wanted to add it. It's also from the vintage French fairy tale.
Since she loves to make books so much, I took one of our blank books and embellished the covers with more vintage papers. Now she has a couple of new books to write her stories in, draw, color, add pictures to, or anything else her creative spirit takes her.
The wonderful thing about these custom craft boxes is that once all of the crafts have been created, she now has a special keepsake box to store all of her treasures in!
I really enjoy making these boxes, so have decided to go ahead and add them to the shop. So if you know of a little girl, or a big girl that has a special event coming up and you would like to have a custom craft box created for them, just hop on over to the shop, or send me an email!
Hello! I hope your week has started out lovely! We spent the weekend in Atlanta helping our baby girl buy furniture for her first apartment. Wow, it seems only yesterday I was still pushing her on the swings at the park. Time flies, it really does. My oldest daughter is applying for internships and will graduate college in one more semester. My baby will be moving out on June 6th, making me an official empty nester. Not quite sure what I will be doing with myself?
But anyway, before I start rambling on about that, I wanted to share with you a look into what was in March's Little Pink Box. The above photo shows the first of two creative kits this month. This is the 2nd time I have ever had two different creative kits in one month, but I think the subscribers were happy with that.
We made peat pot baskets with antique and vintage lace, and covered a paper mache egg with vintage lace and glitter. I love the look of the vintage lace combined with glitter.
And of course, what is spring without some vintage millinery flowers, bird themed vintage ephemera, eggs, and glitter? :)
Also included in the March box was this sweet little pink and yellow spring like inspiration kit.
And because I was so excited about the little spring whimsy book kits , I included the beginnings of one of those kits in the boxes as well!
This was one of my favorite boxes so far, I think. I just love all of the cheerful pastels and vintage goodness that went into it.
April boxes are on sale for 2 more days, if you would love to grab one, and as always the 3 month subscription comes with a free month of shipping. The April box would make a wonderful present for Mother's day as it will be themed around Mom's. :)
Also, I was able to restock ONE whimsy book kit, and it's available in the shop as well as the lovely spring inspiration kits. The above photo of book kit contents is just the tip of the iceburg of what's included in the full kit!
I've been working on some darling custom craft box orders lately, and I'll be back to share those in the next day or so. What have you been busy working on this spring?
Hello! I just finisehd loading the shop with some lovely new things. In addition to the book kit I shared with you yesterday, I also have this sweet inspiration kit and some lovely "new" vintage trims. After a long and kind of crazy winter, I was thinking we could all use a bit of spring like inspiration and so I came up with this kit with that in mind. It contains all sorts of inspirational vintage and a few new items in the lovely colors of spring. Here's a look at the contents.
As you can see, there are vintage fabrics, vintage doilies, pretty paper flowers, vintage stamens, and vintage appliques and trims.
Of course a spring kit wouldn't be complete without several vintage bird themed flashcards, would it?
I was amazed at just how many lovely little things I was able to fit inside the egg shaped boxes. They will also arrive as shown at the top with lovely ribbon, vintage flowers, and another vintage flashcard! (the flowers and flaschards may vary a bit)
I also added several gorgeous trims! I found some wonderful new old stock trims that are in perfect condition and just beautiful! I've added what I could part with for now, but there are more that I may add later.
Lovely vintage linen embroidered trim.
Can you believe that sweet embroidered trim? Gah! I just love them! There are more trims and appliques, and everything can be seen by clicking "what's new" right here.
I hope you will enjoy everything as much as I enjoyed putting them together!
Hello! Long time, no blog! I certainly did not mean to stay away so long. It seems lately I find myself posting on instagram all of the time, I guess because it's easier and faster. But really I do enjoy blogging, so I just need to do it more often, right?
I have been working on a little shop update, and wanted to share this book kit with you today. I am hoping to have the book kits, lots of "new" vintage lace and trims, and possibly one or two other things in the shop on Wednesday. But today I wanted to share the book kit with you. I've had this idea in my head for a little while, I wanted to make an altered photo album/scrapbook. A place to easily share all of your Easter/spring photos. And that's just what I have created. March subscribers to The Little Pink Box received a beginning to this little album, but this is the deluxe kit. This little book is full of whimsy, vintage fabric, vintage paper and has lots of pockets, envelopes, and pull outs to add tons of your photos. In addition to all of the space for photos, there are also lots of sweet vintage images throughout the book as well.
(sweet little envelope with a pull out for more photos)
That's not even all of the pages and little details that make this book so fun! The book kit will come complete with everything you see, plus lots more vintage and new details (mostly vintage), as well as full color instructions for putting the book together, complete details, and all of the vintage images I used. I have just a handful of these kits, but will also be making this tutorial for purchase as well.
Check back tomorrow for details on the rest of the shop update.
See you then! Cerri
Hello! I hope you're enjoying your weekend! I have a house FULL this weekend. My nephews have been staying with me for their spring break, and today my daughter surprised me by coming home for the weekend from Nashville. Yay! Lots of laughter, gigglies, and silliness happening here.
I wanted to take a moment and share with you a peek into last month's Little Pink Box. The creative project in February was this scrappy paper mache letter. Each gal recieved a paper mache letter coordintating with the first letter of their names, as well as several pieces of vintage wallpaper.
Here's a peek into the rest of the box.
Vintage sequin trims, and more lace appliques.
I embellished the vintage prescription boxes with a bit of antique ledger paper, glitter, and a little paper butterfly. Inside there was tucked several vintage white buttons and sequins as well as a pale pink letter.
I had a lot of fun putting the boxes together! I would love to have you join us by subscibing righ here.
I hope you enjoy your weekend!
Much love, Cerri xo
