Hello! I adore vintage photos of children in their costumes, don't you? Here are a few from my files I thought I would share with you during this Halloween week.
And don't forget, our little treat for you, FREE shipping on all orders over $20 this week, and a sale on the remaining Halloween items. Head to the shop to take advantage of the FREE shipping. --No tricks needed. :)
PS, If you're local, the market is hosting Halloween events this Saturday. You can bring your children for trick or treating.
PSS. For the facebook fans, I'll be sharing more vintage images over there this week, so be sure to "like us" on facebook to get the extras!
Hello! Thank you all so much for your sweet comments, emails, and well wishes for my new little shop venture. It's going great so far, I love the interaction with customers and fluffing my shop on the days that we are open. I've met some really lovely people, even local blog readers I didn't know I had! That's always wonderful!
I've also begun the huge task of adding all the new items to my online shop! It will be a process as there are sooo many new items, so if you would like, just check the shop and click on "what's new". I'll also blog about things as I get them added.
I was happy to find two more boxes of these fabulous vintage bird flash cards. They're so pretty, in their muted pastel shades, and in mint condition. Surprising, since they're more than 40 years old, but lucky for us! They've been flying off the shelf in my little market shop.
So far, I have all the new Stickles and Liquid Pearls colors listed, I've restocked some Melissa Frances 5th Avenue items, and added some others. Tons more on the way. New hand dyed lace, and appliques! More vintage flash cards, vintage ephemera, stampings, prize ribbons, etc. etc. Wish me luck in getting it all listed this week. It's been a while since I did a major shop update. Too long, actually.
Hello, just popping in to wish you a happy St. Patrick's day! We're having a good time in San Francisco, but I am sorry I'm not at home for my Mom today. She's having a little minor surgery and I just hate not being there. I know she could use my help. -Sorry Momma!
I thought I would share some sweet images with you today.
Hello! I'm back with a little more handmade Valentine goodness. I made this little Valentine scrapbook initially to become a kit for the shop, but I just didn't get it together in time.
I used some of the sweetest vintage wrapping paper that features images by Betsy Clark, and some vintage dotted swiss, a piece of a vintage skirt I found at a thrift shop, and some great Martha Stewart satmps.
Inside the front flap I added some little glassine pockets to hold tags and love notes, and I added several cardstock pages so that I can add photos, poems, and maybe some artwork from my girls. It was a sweet and easy project to do, and I haven't really done a lot of scrapbooking in a while, so I'm looking forward to working on this a little more.
And here is a peek at another, totally different project I worked on last night.
Here's another vintage Valentine image for you to play with.
Hello! So, it's Valentines week, and I thought I would share with you parts of a little package I sent off to one of my dear friends. Every year we do a little private Valentine's swap, it has become a tradition with us and since we like the same types of things, it's always fun. Here are a few of the things I sent her.
I really love that mini pompom trim, I think it adds just the right amount of sweetness to a project. The stamped image on the tag is from Red Lead Paper Works. Love them!
I have more handmade Valentine's to share this week, but for now here are some sweet images for you.
Have you been busy making Valentines? Or boxes to hold Valentines? I miss doing that, making the boxes to hold the girl's Valentines at their school parties. It used to be a full on family tradition here and believe me, we came up with some very clever boxes. I had thought of hosting an old school Valentine swap, but just didn't think of it soon enough to get it going. Maybe next year? Wouldn't it be fun to make a container to hold your Valentines and receive handmade Valentines from all over blog land? Kind of like our own little classroom party. LOL
Ok, I'll be back w/ more Valentine love tomorrow.
Surprisingly to me, I did'nt really have any vintage Thanksgiving postcards, but I did find a few images to share with you!
I'm thankful that this girl is home for 5 days...
I'm thankful to be able to join my family tomorrow for dinner, and to enjoy them all.
I'm also thankful for all of you. Those that comment here, or simply read my blog. Those that send encouraging emails, and are wonderful friends. I'm thankful to each and every customer that orders from my shop and allows me to keep my dreams alive.
I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and are able to spend the day with those you love.
Much love, Cerri xoxo
PS, If shopping on black Friday is your thing, you might want to check back here . :)
If the image is cute off some, just click on it and you'll get the whole image. If you would like to use any of these, just click on the image, right click, and then save to your computer. Print them out and use them any way that you would like! (yep, even to sell with your handmade items)
I only ask that you do not sell the images themselves please. Love this one, I don't know if you can tell, but it's actually embossed and the roses have a texture to them. Very pretty. I have a lot of them like this.
I also wanted to take a moment and let you know that the holiday season of Joli Paquet is kicking off this week, and we're hosting a vintage Christmas stocking swap. You can read the details about the swap on the JP blog, but to sign up, send me an email to cerri @ thelittlepinkstudio.com. (the information you need to send me is also on the JP blog...) I hope you'll join us!
Here is a sidebar blog button if you would like to post it to your blog. I hope that you'll join us this season for tutorials, inspiration, kits, and fun. The Joli girls really put a lot into providing free tutorials and inspiration, so spread the news, will you?
Ok, my plan is to begin sharing with you the new items for the shop tomorrow! I still don't have a date for the holiday update, but I'm hoping for Friday...or Monday at the latest.
See you soon!
Please remember these are from my personal collection, and while I welcome you to use them in any way that you wish, I do ask that you do not sell the images themselves in any manner.
To save them to your computer, double click on the image to make it larger, then right click and save to your computer. You can then print them out and use them in all of your creative endeavors.
If you're reading my blog, you probably adore vintage ephemera, right? Sweet Cristina of Sweet Pea Ink is hosting a lovely vintage Christmas ephemera swap. If you're interested, check out her blog for the details, but hurry, I think she is only taking 20 participants.
See you soon with some new things!
