Hello! I was interrupted from showing you the things we did at our ladies retreat by the shop update and giveaway, but I still wanted to share those things with you. At the retreat, my original plan was to do some crafting as a group, and then to work on some projects that I have wanted to try for a very long time. I didn't exactly get all of that accomplished however....but I have been inspired by these darling little paper clay dolls for a long time and we wanted to give them a try. I'm so glad we got to make those as they were a lot of fun to create!
I really like playing with paper clay and may try some different things with it.
This is Mom's doll, isn't she adorable? I love how Mom put a collar on her and gave her little pearl buttons.
Some of the girls all together. :) I was proud of Gram, she was able to do quite a bit of this on her own even though her dexterity has gone down hill so much since last year. My sister in law didn't get hers finished, so I don't have a photo of hers and none of the younger girls made these. You know, there really is not much I enjoy more than to sit around and talk, craft, and laugh with people I love. It's such a special time, and I really treasure it.
I have one more post about the retreat if you're interested?
Don't forget to leave a comment on the giveaway post above to be entered to win a $39 gift certificate to my shop!
Cerri xoxo

These dolls are absolutely darling!
A friend of mine hosts a craft night once a month at her house, and we all look forward to it so much. Everyone brings their own project to work on, and it's so interesting to see the variety. Such great energy those nights.

These dolls are so cute! Paper clay has such wonderful possibilites, doesn't it? How did you get the faces so smooth and shiny (different texture)? Were they pre-made? Hugs, Cathy
