Over the summer I worked on a private swap with a sweet friend, squeezing in a few minutes to work on it whenever I had the chance. I finally finished it and mailed it off a couple of weeks ago and I thought I would share it with you now.
She wanted to do a sweet, girly, cutsie swap, and well, I think I do that theme ok, so that was fine with me. :) I altered this tote for her that I got at the Target dollar spot last summer. (I loved the green polka dotted fabric, green is one of my favorite colors lately) I added a few layers of vintage white eyelet trims and made the little brooch to match. "Queen of cute" kind of became my theme for the swap.
I also made her a little "Queen of Cute" crown with all sorts of vintage fabric, trim, and millinery flowers.
I loved making the crown and bag for this swap and was inspired to make more "Queen of.." crowns and things for the shop once it reopens. I'll show you more soon.
Here's a peek inside the tote, I'll be back soon to show you the other things I made and gathered to put inside, and of course to show you what she made me.
First though, I wanted to let you know that the new website will have an inspiration gallery! I'm super excited about that. It will showcase things people (or myself) have made using elements from The Little Pink Studio. This is where you come in. If you have made any of my kits, or created things with the supplies that you have purchased from my shop, and would like to be featured in the gallery send me an email to cerri at thelittlepinkstudio. com. I will of course credit and link to you from the gallery page!
If you would like a little peek at the design you can see it here. I'll share more about the shop soon, and hope to be open in about a week.
Happy Monday!
Cerri xoxo
